What is your approach to practice?

My approach to assessing, diagnosing, and treating my patients is functional and movement-based. I utilize a comprehensive health and injury history, a physical exam, relevant movement assessments to identify the dysfunctions causing the injury or complaint. Based on my initial findings, I create a specific treatment and rehab plan to help each patient meet their individual goals.

What are some of your specializations or interests in your practice?

  1. Neurodynamic dysfunctions, i.e. assessing and treating nerve pain, numbness, tingling, loss of strength
  2. Concussion patients and treating post-concussion syndrome
  3. Patients suffering from spinal stenosis
  4. Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunctions
  5. Biomechanical assessment of foot/ankle/movement dysfunctions (rehab, treatment, orthotics to solve these problems)

What do you love to do outside of the clinic?

Spending time outdoors with my dog
Playing hockey
Hiking and camping
Reading (both for work and for fun)

What you might not know about me?

Before my professional career as a Chiropractor, I competed professionally in mixed martial arts. Combat sports taught me the value of maintaining a healthy body and mind. I was first introduced to the Chiropractic profession as a patient of Island Optimal. It was my positive experience that led me to fall in love with the practice of Chiropractic and motivated me to pursue my education and a career as a Chiropractor.
